Story by Beth Fisher for Health Line Channel 3 KVBC Las Vegas

With Unicure Reply

The Channel 3 story on "Shampoos" by Beth Fisher ~ "Cancer Warning!" What they don't tell "The Unsuspecting Consumer" is that 98% of everyday shampoos have "Cancer Causing Ingredients." Renowned expert, Dr. Samuel Epstein of the "Cancer Prevention Coalition" ~ Quotes: "Industry have failed to warn, have failed to label, have failed to remove DEA and this is, from a Public Health standpoint - criminal!" The use of these products have "grave risks of cancer." Consumer and Manufacturer Action should be taken to clean out cancerous/hazardous materials in everyday products. Support health concerned Manufacturers by buying their products. This is the only way the market will change. "Big Business" is concerned with your money, not your health!

REPLY ~ Unicure is changing, as owner and President of Unicure USA Inc., a shampoo and conditioner company of 33 years, we consider ourselves a health conscious company, selling quality, performance and value backed by results. After your program we began investigating our own products and found that we did in fact have DEA in our shampoos. I have personally mandated our manufacturers to remove all cancer causing chemicals from our products.  A warning will be listed on our labels as to the hazardous ingredients. We challenge all of the cosmetic manufacturers to do the same for a safer, more healthy environment for all.

DEA may be cancer causing but your program left out other ingredients that also have ties to cancerous agents such as MEA which is a derivative of DEA, Formaldehyde (known as a cancer causing agent), DMDM Hydantoin, Urea both derivatives of Formaldehyde and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate has been tied to cancer and other health problems by researchers in Europe.

Shampoo was formulated for hairdressers (women went to hairdressers once a week and men were handed a bar of soap to wash). Shampoo was to be used once a week. Times have changed and baths have been largely replaced by showers. With increasing activity people are showering more often, sometimes as much as two or three times a day. With the increase in showering comes the increase in the use of shampoo which is very harmful. It is a damaging product with one job to do - STRIP DIRT! That's it, the shampoo plus conditioner is a marketing ploy for the lazy! We have been trying to educate the public about "The Over Use of Shampoo" and recommend a maximum use of twice a week (check our web site www.unicure.com).

Reason for the Problem: The American Public have demanded thicker and richer lather which DEA helps to create. This ingredient has little to do with cleansing.   Supply, Demand and Cost leads "Big Business." You demand, they supply with no regard for health issues, more interested in money issues (PROFIT). They all know of the chemical issues and what is derived from what. They have the material safety data specifications (MSDS) on every chemical used in their products. They can make excuses that there is not enough evidence on some of the chemicals but wouldn't it be better to err on the side of the consumers and their health? ..... Sounds reasonable to Us.

UNICURE RECOMMENDATIONS:

You should shampoo once or twice a week and condition all the other times. Unicure Conditioner Users are the luckiest of all. Why? Because our "Hair & Skin" Conditioner alone cleanses the hair shaft of all clinging shampoo film while cleansing the scalp of all pore blocking shampoo film. This relaxes the pores to open and breathe relieving irritation. The Conditioner is a "Miracle Product" (by anyone's standards) and is "Preventative Medicine." A simple conditioner (Formulated in 1956) with no fragrance, no color, no drying alcohol, no side effects and is pure enough to drink (not recommended). Unicure keeps "Hair & Skin" looking beautiful!! Lets try a little harder at staying healthy. Remember sickness creates problems, costly ones! It seems our "Medical Professionals" recommend Drug Company's new and expensive treatments that have potential side effects. Take a look at any advertisement today - they have a list of many possible side effects with their products use. Unicure has no side effects! Unicure is the solution with over 33 years of results. You should know about "Unicure Hair & Skin Conditioner." It is good for ~ Anything ~ Anytime ~ Anyplace ~ Anywhere ~ IT WORKS! You name the "Hair or Skin Problem" and Unicure will help take care of it. Tune in to: www.unicure.com.
